Joseph Boniface Architects were approached in 2016 by an existing client to explore the feasibility of providing a pre-school nursery on an awkward site adjacent to a busy road junction and a bank of mature trees.
The form of the proposed building was informed by the site and the brief; the building nestles within the site and provides a safe environment in which to learn.
The plan takes on a circular form with a central courtyard and tree acting as a focal point. Classroom, ancillary accommodation and covered parent waiting area around the outside provides a safe, light and inspiring space in which to learn.
