Joseph Boniface Architects were appointed in 2017 to design an extension to an imposing Georgian property surrounded by farmland in Lancashire.
Planning permission was granted in 2018 to remove a two storey later addition to the original house and replace with a larger single storey extension.
The extension will accommodate a kitchen and snug, entrance vestibule, raised terrace and small courtyard. To respond to other agricultural buildings within the area, the proposed extension is clad in black stained timber to ensure there is no confusion between the existing house and the new extension.
The project is due to start on site in 2019.
